Root down to rise up.
Root chakra and sacral chakra work. How 7 chakras are similar to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

Unearthed Voice
I was turned off by the fancy poses, the photo shoots, half naked women/men, the vinyasas, oh the vinyasas, the, “I’m really fucken spiritual look at me”. When in reality their “spirituality” started & ended in the ability to teach yoga/simply contort into shapes. It’s based on a facade, the external show rather than the internal work. Most importantly I loathed how it became an ego stroke. The poses in swimsuits and the quotes, the lack of depth. I was like WTF did I get myself into?!!😫

Student Teacher Business Relationship AKA Code Of Ethics
The yoga teacher steps into a private session knowing that she/he has entered into a business contract - yoga services in exchange for money. This business contract is no different than one you enter with your CPA, gardener, nanny, plumber, business partner, co-worker... the list goes. However, the expectations of this business agreement seems to get lost in the wind, I believe it's important to discuss.

Am I really feeling like this already?
How can I recreate something I grew so passionate about to now something that I am unsure of. Are these postures even suited for the general public, with all the physical limitations and injuries how can I be authentic and teach a safe practice that follows ahimsa? Did I have to make this my profession?

The Unknown, We Meet Again
I feel like I am being nudged to put more effort into what I do, yoga and energy work. To really step into that role I have visualized is foreign to me. It's not something I do often, put myself out there for the world to judge, critique, and or admire/respect me. But there are a lot of different elements that come up when taking on this responsibility. Having the ability to be vulnerable is huge while incorporating self-compassion, neutrality, and last but not least having humility are some of the core elements that pop up while traversing through this unknown journey. That is currently my life.

Responsibility, whats that?
Before becoming a yoga instructor, I noticed how impactful teachers are and can be to others. What led me to yoga initially was the mindfulness and philosophy aspects and then it opened up to how my body could benefit from it.
